PARKER at Stonegate's Amazing Pumpkin Contest

If you love fabulous carved and decorated pumpkins, you must visit Parker at Stonegate's lobby - the site of the Parker employees' Amazing Pumpkin contest. Every department designs and creates their own awesome pumpkin to enter into the competition. Residents at Stonegate Assisted Living vote on their three favorite pumpkins. Everyone agreed that this year's contest was very competitive. We only award ribbons for the top three spots but the top five spots were separated by only one to two votes!

This year's winner was designed by theHR/Payroll Department and seems to represent the many requests that they receive from employees daily. Decorated with fall colors and blinking lights, it is an unusual pumpkin that catches the eye and the imagination.

The second place pumpkin was created by the employees who work in the Adult Day Center. "Mardi Gras" is barely recognizable as a pumpkin. Black fishnet covers the entire squash, which has been given eyes, nose and a mouth. The top is covered with multi-colored feathers and a decorated mask brings in the festive Mardi Gras theme.

Our third place pumpkin was created by the Social Services and Administration departments at Stonegate. The Cookie Monster is, of course, chomping on cookies, and washing them down with a glass of milk.

Congratulations to all the winners!
