According to the International OCD Foundation, "Hoarding has been a hidden disorder for many years and before the early 1990s there was little research on the topic." Increased awareness with hoarding throughout the lifespan has occurred due to clinical issues such as unhealthy living conditions that impact individuals, families, and communities. This workshop will concentrate on the older adult who meets the criteria of Hoarding Disorder as per the DSM 5. Participants will practice skills in working with the older adult and identify strategies for family members who are involved with those diagnosed with this disorder.
